The Story Begins

All good stories must have a beginning, middle and end. Our story begins on a sunny late September afternoon at Marsh Lane in Oxford - home of Oxford City FC.

The lads decided to go and watch a bit of non-league football (for a laugh) and went down to see Oxford City take on Shortwood United in the FA Cup.

The game itself wasn't that interesting. It finished 2-1 to the Vanarama National South team, Oxford City which meant they progressed through to the FA Cup 3rd Round Qualifying.

But what was more important was a idea suggested by one of the guys. It was suggested that we would follow Oxford City all the way to Wembley in the FA Cup. And if any team should beat them on their way to the final we would turn our attention on them and follow them.

So the idea was planted in our minds and after the game we made a pact that we would do everything possible to follow the best competition in the world all around the country.

All good stories must have a beginning, middle and end. Our story began in Oxford and would end at Wembley in May but the middle was as yet undecided!
